Access to HE Science Level 3

This course aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for Higher Education, particularly those wishing to advance your scientific knowledge in a way that is tailored to improve your confidence in lectures, seminars and discussion groups as-well as writing essays. This is an intensive course for students aged 19 and over, especially intended for those returning to education. Completion of this course could allow you direct entry into a Degree or Higher Education. During this programme, you will study: Study Skills and Personal and Career Development – includes discussion, practice of writing skills, time management and presentation techniques; Tutorial – support and guidance service. You will also have the option to study from the following subjects: Biology; Chemical Science; Physics and Maths.

You will need Mathematics and English GCSE (minimum grade 4 or equivalent) prior to enrolling on the programme and be able to understand Science at GCSE level prior to enrolling on the programme. You will also be required to complete a diagnostic test

Assessment is a combination of written assessments and assignments.
