Accounting Level 2 and 3 (AAT)

Zig Zag Underline

The AAT Education and Training scheme offers 3 levels of study: Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Level 4 Diploma in Accounting.  Students can commence study at Certificate Level with no previous accounting experience.  Students must register with the AAT to be eligible to sit the examinations.

The Association of Accounting Technicians was formed in 1980 and is the world’s leading dedicated professional body for accounting technicians.  The AAT qualification provides students with a thorough grounding in a broad range of accounting subjects, which are relevant to the modern business environment.  The AAT is sponsored by four of the UK chartered accountancy bodies and offers fast track entry or exemptions into their qualifications for individuals who are AAT qualified.  The qualification is designed to enable students to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment within the accounting profession to study for UK Chartered Accountancy examinations.

This course supports progression into accountancy settings, whilst developing skills such as basic costing and accounts.  You will study both Levels 2 and 3 within one academic year, providing you a ‘fast-track’ to employment.

The skills taught can be used within the financial sector; allowing you to work in a range of companies.  Successful completion of this course may allow you to progress onto the Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting or into employment, as an accountant.
