The skills taught can be used within the financial sector; allowing you to work in a range of companies. Successful completion of this course may allow you to progress onto the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting or into employment, as an accountant.

During the course of the programme, you will study:
LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN ACCOUNTING : Processing Bookkeeping Transactions; Control Accounts, Journals and the Banking System; Working Effectively in Accounting and Finance; Basic Costing; Computerised Accounting and Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance.
LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING: Accounts Preparation; Preparing Final Accounts for Sole Traders and Partnerships; Costs and Revenues; Indirect Tax; Spreadsheets Software; Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance.
You will need 5 GCSEs to include Mathematics and English Language (minimum grade C or equivalent). You are also required to provide a reference and undertake a diagnostic assessment. It is also possible for direct entry onto the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. If you have no bookkeeping qualifications you will be required to undertake an online accounting test to determine entry level. All students will need to apply to the AAT to become a student member. Student membership is decided entirely by the AAT. Students who have certain criminal convictions may find that they are not accepted by the AAT as a student member.
Assessment is a combination of computer based tests and projects.
Fees listed are for those aged 19 years and over only. Fees are subject to change, concessions may apply. Please note that where stated, fees are for the first year of a course only. Please contact us for information and advice.
