If you want to pursue a career working within IT or a telecoms environment working as an IT systems manager, supervisor or team leader, IT operations technicians, IT user support, telecoms engineers or computer engineering then this is an excellent place to start. This course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to begin a career in the industry.

The course includes knowledge on health and safety in ICT, developing own effectiveness and professionalism and will provide guidance on relevant working practices relating to working on IT systems and equipment, carry out complex IT tasks relating to software installation and upgrades, technical fault diagnosis and ICT system testing and working with a range of ICT equipment, tools and resources both hardware and software.

Upon successful completion you may be able to progress onto the Higher Education.
You must have good verbal communication skills and the potential to gain evidence for the qualification in the workplace. In addition, it is expected that you are able to demonstrate their ability to work at a recommended level 1 in both Literacy and Numeracy and Level 1 in ICT. In addition, you should be working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Assessment is a combination of practical tasks, written assignments, observations within the workplace, online written assignments, online tests and discussions.
