If you wish to pursue a career in an exciting and diverse industry and are good with practical work and have an eye for detail, vehicle body repair could be a great career for you. Taught in our industry standard vehicle workshops using the latest specialist equipment you will be involved in repairing accidental damage or restoring and modifying vehicle bodies.
During this course, you will learn: how to repair and replace damaged cosmetic and structural panels, use electric and plastic welding equipment and get involved with the use of specialist body jigs and tools.
This qualification can help you to progress in a wide range of roles within the automotive industry including careers as a vehicle body repairer or body painter/refinisher or perhaps into associated industries such as car, truck or motorbike mechanic/technician. Completion of this programme can lead to full-time employment as a vehicle repair technician, following completion of work based learning (NVQ), or other options for further education.
You must have already achieved a Level 2 qualification in Automotive and be employed for a minimum of 30 hours a week.
Assessment is a combination of practical observations within the workplace and online written assignments.
