If you want to pursue a career in the fitness industry as a gym instructor or an activity leader in schools then this is an excellent place to start. This course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to begin a career in this industry.
Successful completion of this course may allow you to progress onto a Level 3 vocational study programme or into employment.
During the course of the programme, you will study: Preparing for Activity Sessions; Lead Activity Sessions; Conclude and Review Activity Sessions; Support the Work of the Team and Organisation and Promote Health, Safety and Welfare in Active Leisure and Recreation.
You must be be employed for a minimum of 30 hours a week with atleast 1 year experience, successfully pass a diagnostic exam in English, Mathematics and ICT at Level 2.
Assessment is a combination of practical tasks, written assignments, oral discussions and online tests.
