If you want to pursue a career working within IT or a telecoms environment working as an IT operations technicians, IT user support, telecoms engineers or computer engineering then this is an excellent place to start. This course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to begin a career in the industry.
The course includes knowledge on health and safety in ICT, developing own effectiveness and professionalism and will support you to problem solve and provide you with the ability to follow relevant working practices when installing an IT system, software installation and upgrades.
Upon successful completion you may be able to progress onto the advance Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals.
You must have good verbal communication skills and the potential to gain evidence for the qualification in the workplace. In addition, it is expected that candidates are able to demonstrate their ability to work at a recommended level 1 in both Literacy and Numeracy and Level 1 in ICT. In addition, candidates should be working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Assessment is a combination of practical tasks, written assignments, observations within the workplace, online written assignments, online tests and discussions.
