Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement Level 3

This qualification is open to a range of candidates from different backgrounds and employment; it will develop the knowledge and skills of practitioners who wish to work or whom are working as an assessor in their vocational area.  The qualifications are generic and apply across a wide sector of assessment and training

Be an experienced practitioner in the subject you wish to assess (3-5yrs according to sector guidelines). Hold minimum of a level 3 qualification in the subject you wish to assess. Have a current DBS check if you are working with or alongside those who are under 18 or are vulnerable young adults. Have a minimum of two candidates to assess. Have a named counter signatory and mentor

A variety of assessment methods are used, including direct observation; asking questions; examination of work products; witness testimonies; recognition of prior learning/experience; reflective accounts; simulation; professional discussion; assignments or written tests
