This distance learning qualification is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career within the Health Care Sector. This course increases an individuals professional development and confidence among those either new to working within a care environment or those keen to gain the knowledge needed to help them seek employment in the health and social care sector. The course units include topics such as principles of communication, principles of personal development and principles of diversity, equality and inclusion. Principles of safeguarding and protection, introduction to duty of care and understanding the role of the social care worker. Understand person-centred approaches, understand health and safety and understanding how to handle information.
There are no formal entry requirements but this course is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Health Care Sector. This course is funded through the College's Adult Education Budget. You must be 19 or older on the first day of the course, be living in the UK on the first day of your course, and have lived in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for 3 years immediately before this.
Continued on line assessment throughout the course. You will be expected to complete and submit units on a regular basis.
