This distance learning qualification is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career within the Childcare Sector. The course aims to increase learners’ understanding of mental health in children and young people. The course units include topics such as understanding children and young people’s mental health in context. Understand factors which may affect children and young people’s mental health. Understand children and young people’s mental health concerns and understand the impact of children and young people’s mental health concerns.
There are no formal entry requirements but this course is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Childcare Sector. This course is funded through the College’s Adult Education Budget. You must be 19 or older on the first day of the course, be living in the UK on the first day of your course, and have lived in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for 3 years immediately before this.
Continued on line assessment throughout the course. You will be expected to complete and submit units on a regular basis.
