This course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to progress through the levels of creative media production. Upon successful completion, you can progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production, preparing you for employment within the sector. During the course, you will study: studios and editing rooms; written analysis of film; television; branding and marketing. This qualification is awarded by the prestigious UAL Awarding Body, widely regarded as the best university for the Creative Arts in Europe. Established over 150 years Lincoln College of Art and Design at Christ's Hospital Terrace (in the Cathedral Quarter) will be your base. CHT has excellent media facilities including a dark room, 5 MAC suites, photography and media studios.
You will need 3 GCSE’s preferably including English (minimum Grade 3) or produce a creative portfolio of audio/visual work. You will be required to attend an interview and undertake a short introductory project which you must demonstrate creative ability. You are also required to provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
There is no exam. Coursework is all internally assessed through a combination of interim and formal assessments at the end of each project. The final project is graded pass, merit or distinction.
