If you are good with practical work and have an eye for detail, electrical installations could be a great career for you. Electricians install and maintain the equipment needed for the safe and efficient use of electricity, including fitting and repairing electrical circuits and wiring.
Successful completion of the Diploma in Electrical Installations programme will provide the qualifications required for the first stage of the Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship. You will also gain an insight into working within the electrical trade.
During this course, you will study various units surrounding Electrical Installations, which will reduce the number of units required on an Advanced Apprenticeship.
You will require a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics. All applicants will also be required to complete a course entry assessment test.
Assessment is a through a combination of short answer examinations, written and practical assignments.
