If you are good with practical work and have an eye for detail, electrical installations could be a great career for you. Electricians install and maintain the equipment needed for the safe and efficient use of electricity, including fitting and repairing electrical circuits and wiring.
Successful completion of the Diploma in Electrical Installations programme will provide the qualifications and required knowledge criteria necessary for work in the electro-technical industry. Alongside the C&G 2357 (NVQ) and AM2, this will qualify you as an electrician.
During this course, you will study various units surrounding Electrical Installations, including: Environment Technologies; Inspection and Testing Practices; Fault Finding and Electrical Design and Career Awareness.
You will require a Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installations and to be continuing in your learning to further job prospects with a view of working within the industry.
Assessment is a through a combination of short answer examinations, written and practical assignments.
