Plastering is a programme that will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to progress. This programme will also offer you support, preparing you for the construction industry.
Successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma could lead onto potential careers include working for a plastering company or becoming a self-employed plasterer.
During the course, you will study: Principles of Building Construction, Information and Communication; Apply Plastering Materials to interiors; Fix Dry Lining to an Interior Wall; Laying Sand and Cement Screeds; Applying Plastering Materials to External Backgrounds; Produce Reverse Moulds for Fibrous Work and Casting and Fixing Fibrous Plasterwork.
You will need to have successfully completed a Level 1 Plastering programme, GCSE’s in Mathematics and English (minimum Grade F). You will also be required to pass a trade test as well as a literacy and numeracy test.
You will be required to attend an interview and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
Assessment is a combination of practical tests and written examinations.
