If you are good with practical work and have an eye for detail, electrical installations could be a great career for you. Electricians install and maintain the equipment needed for the safe and efficient use of electricity, including fitting and repairing electrical circuits and wiring. The C&G 2365 Level 2 Diploma gives exemption from a number of units of the EAL/City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services and effectively reduces the time required to complete the Advanced Apprenticeship Programme by one year.

On successful completion of this programme, further progression onto Level 3 Electrical Installations is possible the following year, or a suitable apprenticeship.

This programme consists of: health and safety in building services engineering; principles of electrical science; electrical installations technology; installation of wiring systems and enclosures and understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering.
You will need GCSE’s in Mathematics and English (minimum Grade C or equivalent). You will also be required to pass a trade test as-well as a literacy and numeracy test. GCSE Grade D may be accepted dependant on your results on your entry tests. You will also be required to attend an experience day and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
Assessment is a combination of practical tests and written examinations.
Fees listed are for those aged 19 years and over only. Fees are subject to change, concessions may apply. Please note that where stated, fees are for the first year of a course only. Please contact us for information and advice.
