If so, the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology is exactly the course for you. Based on our Newark campus, you will use our HD cameras, professional equipment, Apple Macs and studios to experiment with many different styles and techniques and create a wide range of media products that will ensure that you stand out from the crowd when pursuing a career in the industry. You will also benefit from support and guidance from an experienced and professional tuition team and have trips to the BBC in London and Manchester, the Aesthetical Film Festival and the Bradford National Media Museum. You will gain work experience placements with local industry. You can progress onto the BA in Lens Based Media or other HE courses or employment within the sector. Certification is awarded by the prestigious UAL Awarding Body, widely regarded as the best university for the Creative Arts in Europe.
You will need either 4 GCSE’s preferably including English Language (minimum Grade 4), a level 2 Diploma in Media or directly-related subject or produce a creative portfolio of audio/visual work with appropriate work experience. You will be required to attend an interview and are also required to provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
There is no exam. Coursework is all internally assessed through a combination of interim and formal assessments at the end of each project. The final project is graded pass, merit or distinction. The qualification is equivalent to achieving 3 A levels
