GCE A Level in Chemistry A Level 3

This programme is relevant to anyone who wishes to understand the importance of Science and technology. Chemistry is a prestigious and recognized high-standard subject by employers and universities in all disciplines. Therefore, successful completion of this programme, in combination with other suitable qualifications will give you an advantage when wishing to enter into employment or a wide range of Higher Education programmes which can lead up to postgraduate PhD level. Chemistry should be considered as an essential requirement for those considering careers in Veterinary Science, Medicine, Science, Forensics and Engineering. Modules include: Development of Practical Skills in Chemistry – this module underpins the whole of the specification, and covers the practical skills that you will develop throughout the course; Foundations in Chemistry – covering key underlying chemistry concepts; Periodic Table and Energy and Core Organic Chemistry.

You will need 5 GCSEs (minimum grade 4/C or above), to include Mathematics and English Language (minimum grade 5 or equivalent), Chemistry (minimum grade 6 or equivalent) or 6/6 in Combined Science.

Assessment is by written examination.
