GCE A Level in English Literature Level 3

Zig Zag Underline

English Literature allows you to study a range of important literary texts, building on knowledge and skills acquired at GCSE. English Literature is a well-regarded subject which allows for the development of transferable skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, analyse incisively and argue a point, both orally and in writing. Potential careers could include: teaching; journalism and other media-related jobs; work in personnel and the law. You will study the different genres of novel, poetry and drama; including studying two plays, a novel and a selection of poetry. This will encourage you to develop as an informed, independent reader and critic of literary texts.

You will need 5 GCSEs (minimum Grade C or equivalent), including English Literature (minimum grade B/6 or equivalent).

Assessment is by written examination and coursework.

Fees listed are for those aged 19 years and over only. Fees are subject to change, concessions may apply. Please note that where stated, fees are for the first year of a course only. Please contact us for information and advice
