We try to make applying for courses at Lincoln College as simple as possible and below is a quick guide to take you through the whole process, from researching the right career path for you, to applying and enrolling.
You’re in the right place. Our website is the best place to start, but if you want a copy of our course guide just give us a call on 030 030 32435 and we’ll pop one in the post.
If you know what you want to study just click on, ‘Find a Course’. You can type in keywords, course types and course levels to find what you are looking for.
If you’re not sure what you want to do yet, take a look at our Career Choice pages. These give you an overview of different careers. There is a video showing our facilities for each career choice and links so you can find out about relevant local job opportunities. All of our courses related to each career choice will be listed at the bottom of the page.

If you want to find out more about the College application process, check out our Applying to College information which will show you every step.
If you can’t find what you need call us for advice. If you’re struggling to decide you can book an appointment for free independent advice and guidance with on of our experts. Just call us on: 030 030 32435 or email email@example.com
Each course page has an ‘apply now’ button, just click it and you will be taken to our online application form. Fill in all of the fields and please try to give accurate information. Your contact details, particularly your email address and mobile phone number (if you have one) are particularly important as this is how we will communicate with you.
You’ll also be asked to select a Welcome Day as part of your application. These events are really important as you will get a chance to visit the facilities you will learn in, get advice and guidance from your tutors and take part in some related activities.
This is also where you will have your interview with your tutor and be made an offer for a place on your course. Please make sure you select a date you can attend.
Once you’ve completed your form hit submit and you will receive an instant message confirming you we have received your application.
If you wish to review our Admissions Policy click here.
Within a couple of days you will receive an email and text confirming your attendance at your Welcome Day. This will confirm the date and time you have selected and at which campus to come to (Lincoln, Gainsborough or Newark). If you can’t attend please call the number provided on the email and text to arrange an alternative date.
Your email will also include advice and guidance on what to expect, along with detail on anything you will need to bring, or if you need to dress in a particular way to take part in a practical activity.
On the day, depending on the course you have selected, you will meet your tutors, have your interview and, if you are successful, be made an offer of a place. If, for whatever reason, the tutor is unable to offer you a place, you will be able to book an advice and guidance session with an expert to make sure we can find an alternative study option for you at the college.
Once you have been made an offer of a place, we will email and text you login details to complete two brief online assessments at home. All full-time students and apprentices need to complete these tests. If you have already been made a conditional offer then the results of these assessments will not affect your college place. They will be used to place you in the right English and Maths classes when you get to college. Once completed we will send you an exclusive gym and spa membership offer for you and your family members.
We won’t be spamming you, but we will be sending you information and news about the college before you enrol. This will help you to see what our students and former students get up to and give you an insight into what college life is like. We’ll also introduce you to our social media channels so you can stay in touch.
This is when you officially sign onto your course and where we give you your College ID and information you need just before you start. It normally starts at the end of August after you’ve got your exam results. We’ll email and text you all the information and advice you need for the day and we may contact you beforehand to fill in some extra information online. It is really important that you attend enrolment as you can’t start your studies until you do.
Sometimes, even though you’ve done loads of research and spoken to our advisors, you find that you’ve picked the wrong course and it’s just not for you. There’s no need to worry. During the first six weeks there is an opportunity to transfer and we will do everything we can to support you making the right choice.
Just drop in any Wednesday between 9.00am - 4.00pm.
