This is a practical based short course to introduce some of the basic skills required to produce nutritious family meals from scratch. At the end of the course you will be able to:
• Prepare and make dishes demonstrating basic cookery skills.
• Develop ability to apply basic cookery skills to a variety of recipes.
• Cook and evaluate some dishes in terms of taste, cost and appeal.
• State ways in which some of the recipes used can be made ‘more healthy’
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme. You must be aged 19+ the previous August and a resident in the UK/EU for 3 years or longer.
There is no formal assessment and no exams
