TERM TIME: Monday - Friday 6.00 am - 9.45 am Please note that we may consider combing the two posts to make a full time role (1.0 FTE) for the right candidate. The shift pattern for this post would be Monday & Friday 09.30 am - 5.30 pm and Tuesday /Wednesday/Thursday 2.00 pm - 9.00 pm. You will patrol and monitor the College campus, ensuring a high level of security and ensure safety is maintained at all times. The roles involves carrying out duties as required and directed by the Site Supervisor and to support the Facilities Unit. You will also be required to work together flexibly and cover shifts in the event of absences. You will be required to unlock and lock buildings, as directed, including setting alarms etc as required together with checking the security of the buildings. You will carry out emergency procedures in the event of fire, flood, breaking and entering, accident or major damage and to act as a fire marshall when required. The ideal candidate will hold an SIA Licence - including CCTV as the role involves monitoring the College Campus by use of CCTV, ensuring that Data Protection Act legislation is met with regards to the operation of the equipment. You will also possess an NVQ Level 1 or equivalent in a related discipline, ideally working towards an NVQ Level 2. You will have recent relevant experience of working in a similar role in an educational environment and have good customer care skills, be helpful and have the ability to work as part of a team.
