Lincoln College tops state provision in A-Levels league table

February 13 2020

Zig Zag Underline

The Government’s Secondary School League Tables have scored Lincoln College above all state schools and colleges in Lincolnshire for the progress of A-Levels learners.

Swoosh

The league tables, which were published by the Government last week, put the College on the top spot of all state-funded providers, with only one private school in Lincolnshire scoring higher.

The figures in the report  tell you how much progress students who studied A levels made between the end of key stage 4 and the end of their A level studies, compared to similar students across England.

Lincoln College Group Managing Director for Education and Training Mark Locking said: “This really demonstrates what Ofsted described as our staff’s ‘focus on the craft of teaching’. What it proves is our ability to develop and improve the prospects of young people through progressive teaching and learning techniques, support and nurturing.

“By building the confidence of our learners we are able to improve their grades and raise their aspirations to progress to Higher Education and aim higher in their careers.

“I’m really proud of this achievement for our staff and our students and I would like to thank them for all of their hard work.”

Lincoln College Group CEO Gary Headland said: “We have been focusing intensely for the past three years on both the quality and relevance of our education provision and this is another important milestone in our journey to being an extraordinary organisation.

“An investment in your local college is an investment in your local community so please work with us and encourage your family and friends to study with us.”
