We’re celebrating the Association of Colleges #LoveOurColleges Week by sharing a Week in the Life of Lincoln College. The week of action is designed to demonstrate why the Chancellor should ensure meaningful and sustainable investment in colleges in his comprehensive spending review. So we’ll be talking about the social and economic value we add through education and training all week.

Day 4 Networking at Expo East
Newark College exhibited at the CityX event which connected organisations across the East of England at Newark Showground today.
Throughout the day members of staff promoted the college and the apprenticeship schemes, career degrees and new CPD courses available including Cyber Security Awareness and PRINCE2.
Meanwhile business students Natalie Hardy and Hannah Richards gave out cakes made by learners on our catering course. They said: ‘We’re studying business so it’s great to come to an expo to see how it works.
“It’s a good opportunity for us to put ourselves out there and meet local companies. It’s a new experience for us, so we’re pleased to be involved.”
During the event Lincoln College Group CEO and Chairman of IoD East Midlands, Gary Headland, lead a panel of experts speaking about the impact of mental health and wellbeing within the workplace.
Mr Headland said: “Newark College are delighted to be exhibiting at Expo East, where we are showcasing the many skills we have in the area and engaging with the business community.”
